How many are asking this question? in these days of Lockdown, in these days of city closings, with many nations that don’t support their citizens enough, with a new lifestyle with which we will have to deal. Our lives have changed, we have been and are still being tested. The quarantine at home, without being able to live those lives that for most of us, we detested because monotonous and bland .. We complained about things that we miss so much now, with chaos, work stress .. and those late days with salary .. Now we can say “good times!” While before we complained about our jobs, today most of us pray to be able to get it back after the quarantine. Our freedom has been denied us, no trips, no outings with friends, no cinema, gym or a good pizza .. It all seems so surreal, at the beginning I said to myself, oh well, two weeks passes everything, then a month has passed, now 49 days .. and the fear increases, the fear of not being supported by the state, of not being able to reach the end of the month .. the fear of death .. there are many thoughts that go through our heads, I look around and I do nothing but think about the health of my family .. their financial situation .. and I think this is an almost global thought, then I keep thinking, I think of the cities that I have visited, I think of the places that are already as bad as the south Africa, Iran and India, I think of a nation as big as China .. that has paid its mistake too much .. but that will always be held up as the “creator” of the pandemic. The deserted cities, the children stuck in the house without being able to go out, and other children who should stay at home, instead are in the refugee camps where cleaning and security are far from normal life .. Of course the bombs have been placed in quarantine .. at least almost good news .. but how long will it last? Should we hope for them that the quarantine will last as long as possible? when will we go back to normal life instead? and then will it be really normal afterwards? Will everything really return as before? how many psychological victims will this virus do? how hungry around the world? how much fear in relating to the rest of the world? what will happen in a few months? Here every evening with the arrival of midnight all these questions arrive .. all these doubts arrive, so sleep passes .. and I find myself checking my parents while they sleep, my sister .. I look at the photos of the trips and I wonder I’ll be back to my normalcy? I will be able to go on .. I don’t know but wait, wait for all this to pass .. and let’s see, it’s the only thing left for us to do ..

Hi girls, how’s your quarantine going? are you back in freedom? or like me you are at day 49?it is now almost two months .. and in a bit of smart working, my book to be completed, the blog and the video calls with my grandchildren .. I still have some time to devote to beauty care .. Hair, skin nails .. we have how to distract ourselves in this Quarantine from Pandemic.

Waiting to return to our lives .. we certainly can not become monsters .. although in fact a few pounds more unfortunately there is ..but we take it with philosophy .. or we can be angry with ice cream in the freezer.
As I have repeatedly shared on my blog, I love to change hair color .. quiet not those crazy colors ..

which one?

especially in these forty-nine very long days, I bleached my hair .. then I darkened my hair becoming brunette, and then I went back to blonde .. and I don’t know until the end how many changes I will make .. also because not using much makeup .. (with the mask to take the bread also not!) but one thing is certain I cuddle them and take care of them day after day .. wash after wash.

I am addicted to the Pantene line, my hair especially the tips are dehydrated and thinned. So I use hair products that nourish, repair and give volume and shine.Pantene is known for having many lines of products for every hair quality in the file .. the line I use is Pantene regenerates and protects, the schampoo and the cream (or conditioner) make them soft and less damaged to the eye.

Miraculous Ampoules regenerates in a minute. After the first treatment, the hair is soft and silky.
But they are not the only products I use for the care of my hair, another line of products that I think are sensational, is Garnier’s hair food!

For damaged hair I have always used the Papaya mask twice a week, it is 98% natural and perfect for damaged hair, it can be used in three ways. my favorite is after shampooing ten minutes of laying before drying my hair. For a few months I have known about the existence of the Hair food shampoo, and if the effect is the same as the mask, my hair will certainly return wonderful before going back to work.Another phenomenal hair product is CocoBali by Camille Flores Virgin coconut oil. I love it, I apply it in small doses on the lengths, the hair will be shiny and silky.

Obviously I have told you about damaged hair, the products that I use for my hair .. but for Pantene there are products for dry, oily, anti-dandruff hair, protection 5 against hot water, anti fall .. Pantene is the best Hair product especially when you need specific things!
As for the Hair food line, I wrote about papaya for both the shampoo and the mask .. but also here you can find the banana for dry hair, the aloe for dry hair to be moisturized, the Macadamia to smooth frizzy hair and then papaya for damaged hair.

Discovering New York: Zuccotti Park

This especially during the Christmas season is absolutely my favorite, previously it was called Liberty plaza park, a park three thousand square meters large, located in Lower Manhattan, it was called Liberty Plaza Park because it was located next to One Liberty Plaza, which is located between Broadway, Trinity Place, Liberty Street and Cedar Street. The northwest corner of the park is located across the street from the Four World Trade Center. It has been popular with local tourists and financial operators alike. The park was severely damaged by the September 11 attacks and subsequent recovery efforts in 2001. The square was later used as a venue for numerous commemorative events on the anniversary of the attacks. . After the renovations in 2006, the park was renamed by the current owners, Brookfield Office Properties, after the company president John Zuccotti. In the period from Thanksgiving day until January, it is adorned with many illuminated Christmas trees, the view is magical, and sitting in this park listening to the noise of the city is reflective. Currently, the park has a large variety of trees, granite sidewalks, tables and chairs, as well as lights integrated into the ground that illuminate the area. With its proximity to Ground Zero, the Zuccotti Park is a popular tourist destination. The cross of the World Trade Center, which was previously housed in the Roman Catholic church of San Pietro, was represented in a ceremony held in the Zuccotti Park before being transferred to the 9/11 Memorial. It features three very beautiful sculptures, a gorgeous giant rose , the bronze statue of a businessman from Wall Street sitting on a bench, and a statue in intertwined red beams, very pretty.

Discovering New York: Flushing meadows Corona Park.

Let’s get back to discovering New York, and today I want to talk about a park located in Queens, the Flushing Meadow corona park. It was created as the site of the New York World Fair 1939 and also hosted the 1964 edition and is managed by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation.
It is the second largest park in the city of New York, and after I have been there I can tell you that I fell in love with it.the park was created from marshy land, the famous “Valley of the Ashes” as it is nicknamed in the book “the great Gatsby”. The site was reclaimed in preparation for the 1939 world exhibition. it was the most expensive exhibition after 1904. It was the first exhibition to be based on the future, with a slogan of “Dawn of a new day” opening, and allowed all visitors to take a look at “the world of tomorrow”.

the site was also used for the 1964 fair, and after the fairs some buildings were used as the headquarters of the United Nations until the venue was moved to Manhattan. But the Flushing Meadow is not only the World Fair, it is much more ..
In the park there is an installation very dear to me .. one of my wishes was to go and see the famous Unisphere.

An image seen in millions of films or TV series, books and large photo books .. when I took this photo it was a November morning, the last of the month and there was a beautiful sunny day ..

In the Flushing Meadow park, there is the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center where the US Open takes place, one of the four world Grand Slams.the central pitch is Arthur Ashe Stadium, the largest in the world for spectators, and the secondary pitch is Louis Armstrong Stadium. Shea Stadium, home of the New York Mets baseball team, is located at the north end of the park

In the park there is a wonderful lake that flows into the Flushing river .. Boats can be rented for rowing and rowing, it is also the site of the annual dragon boat races, and the New York teams train there during the months summer. There are several cycle paths, and countless playgrounds and recreational fields, used for activities that reflect Queens’ vast ethnic mix; football and cricket are especially popular. And the size of the park is also evident from the presence of imposing structures such as the Queen Museum of Art, the New York Hall of Science, the Queens Theater and the Terrace on the Park, a huge elevated structure, which hosts banquets and ceremonies. time many of the buildings built for the fair were demolished and replaced by more modern and recent structures. In 2008 a $ 66.3 million aquatic center was inaugurated, which includes an Olympic-sized indoor swimming pool and a runway skating in accordance with NHL regulations. The facility, used by schools, sports leagues and community members of all ages, is the largest recreation complex in any park in New York City, with an area of approximately 10,220 square meters. The complex includes equipment for the physically disabled

Believe me, when you visit this park you will fall in love with it, New York is not only Manhattan and knowing Queens means knowing the heart of New Yorkers.

Make-up in the spring of Quarantine

Even if we are closed at home, friends, spring has started, a little unusual, since we are in quarantine, but not for this we must give up glamor, as a lover of makeup I could not have spoken of the new Huda palettes and all the colors you can wear in this very strange spring ..

as you will know if you follow me on instagram, I have a real obsession with Huda Beauty, and not only this, I had a look on the site where I buy makeup and I found some really interesting ideas ..pastel colors, colors like pink, silver and yellow .. and more

huda beauty Pastel Obsession

pastel colors, colors like pink, silver and yellow .. and not only, of course, even a nude bronze makeup could be perfect for the first sunny days of spring ..

nude make-up with Eyeliner is always an evergreen the eye becomes sexy and this makeup is perfect in every season.. and then it is perfect for those with big and round eyes, this makeup gives a cat shape to the eyes.

blue and pink, with points of light, this is the perfect look for spring, and to those who say it is only fair to blondes I say NO! If applied well it is a makeup that is good for everyone!

This year pink is the most popular, but candy pink is not good on all cheeks, so opt for warm tones if you are blackberries, and nothing is more beautiful than the Nars blush. Orgasm, I always wondered why they had called so but when I used it the first time I understood it .. it’s sexy, it’s beautiful .. and you must have it!

this winter Fenty Beaty has launched a line of fabulous palettes, they are eight, numbered, and beautiful! I have the numbers 1, 3, 4, and 5 .. the one with the most spring colors surely among mine is the four, but also the two and the eight are perfect for creating spring makeup

I’m not really a lover of liquid glosses, but those of Fenty Beauty are really beautiful, and this year they have added other colors ..

this is my Favorite

when I don’t want to use liquid glosses I rely on Huda Beauty’s liquid lipsticks, I have a lot of them in the spring I love to use colors like red, and Huda has many shades in this, so the coral ones, and bright ones are my favorites. alternatively the nudes are the top!

but this year liquid eyeshadows with sparkling colors are also back in fashion, a sign of a decade that is about to return, the 90s, so if in these days you feel in the mood for shopping or trying colorful and sparkling makeup well do it, even if we are forced home we don’t lose our passions. So if like me , do you love play or work with Make up..do it! We will back to share our looks and makeup for our days out.. for now let’s train! xoxo !

Discovering New York..

As everyone knows I love New York, I just finished writing a book .. the hope is to be able to publish it, in the meantime I want to share my knowledge with the city with you .. I will take you to know Chelsea Market today.

located in Midtown, on 15th street, in the heart of the Chelsea district, in what was the old Oreo biscuit factory, today it is a wonderful Food Hall with more than fifty restaurants and shops is a wonderful location that hosts more than six every year millions of visitors, including many tourists, the interior and exterior facade in red brick, with exposed pipes, peeling walls and hanging lamps very vintage and too beautiful. it is typical of this neighborhood, a delight for both the eyes and the palate, you will find anything meat, fresh fish, fruit, ice cream, American and international food, you will love to visit this wonderful Market, here it will take at least a couple of hours for the visit

I visited it one winter evening it was snowing and it was really very cold, but you can always visit it, walking in the evening, in this neighborhood it really is fascinating .. Deciding where to eat in here is really difficult, here I suggest some of the most famous, the best and most accessible where you can have lunch or dinner.
Let’s start with The Lobster place, here you can taste the wonderful lobsters of Maine, perhaps in the famous Lobster roll, a delicious lobster sandwich to be clear, yes the prices are high, the fish in New York is really expensive, but here you will taste it in fast food style, finger food, so the costs are slightly lower than a chic Manhattan restaurant. The second option is entirely Italian, obviously we love pasta from them, and it’s nice to see that many Americans are in love with this cult, the Pasta! And who better than Giovanni Rana, in this restaurant, make delicious fresh pasta with sauces that will satisfy everyone’s tastes, another place to eat a delicious hamburger is Creamline, a fast and informal restaurant located in the iconic Chelsea Market of New York City that serves American classics of agricultural origin, the meat is of a perfect quality, but the rest is not bad either , with twenty dollars you will eat well and well. But there are also Amy’s Bread with its wonderful bread, rolls and muffins, and many others such as Sushi and Tacos, a restaurant that deals only with soups and food from all over the world. The perfect ending, however, is to Ninth Street Espresso,in this bar you can enjoy a delicious Italian espresso, this place is ideal for all lovers of Italian espresso, or caffeinomaniacs like me.

But at Chelsea Market, you can also shop, there are really many shops where to do it.among those that I suggest there is the Chelsea Wine Vault, a beautiful Wine shop, whose decor truly resembles a cellar, there are wines from all over the world, I recommend if you want to try American wines, those of California are exceptional .Li-lac Chocolates is the oldest chocolate house in Manhattan, born in 1923, they produce artisan chocolate, with 140 different types, here you can also taste the famous Marshmallows covered with chocolate, really delicious. There are also several souvenir shops, a bookstore, a flower shop and the famous Anthropologie clothing stores and home decor accessories.

A traveler in quarantine..

I’m sitting here, in front of the pc, with my photo album in my hands, every photo a wonderful memory .. tell me I’m old-fashioned but I love the printed photos, I love to browse my huge album, and remember the details, the days and how I took that particular photo, London, Kos Island, Corfu, Paris, Andalusia, Amsterdam, Florence, Pisa, Elba Island, Venice, Verona, Sestri Levante, Ireland, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington and New York .. many times, always NY .. When I don’t work travel, if the stop is short the journey is short, if the vacation is long then off overseas .. The idea that I would stop for a some time, while I was toasting the new year, I would never have imagined it, when this pandemic started, I thought that for a few months I would have to stop with travel overseas, but then with the passage of a whole quarantined month, without being able to go to work, and with the certainty that in a future tro ppo near travel is not recommended, I seriously begin to think that even numbers are not a good omen, but it will be pure superstition maybe .. The quarantine starts to get heavy, damn the same every day, wake up, home care, and then beauty care, blogs .. I work, always the same things, always the same day, there are mornings that I don’t even remember what day it is …The quarantine starts to get heavy, damn the same every day, wake up, home care, and then beauty care, blogs .. I work, always the same things, always the same day, there are mornings that I don’t even remember what day it is … the only thing that makes me happy is to think about my travels, think about where I could be, where I would like to be, in my head I have already organized the trip to New Orleans, the tour in Florida, the visit to the Italian villages ..They say that thinking about positive things in these days is good, it makes you feel less alone, the problem is that solitude has never frightened me, it’s being still that scares me, not being able to go back to NY, not being able to know other places in the world .. not being able to travel the United States,So in these quarantine days, between one news and another do the things you love, and the days will take a little detour that will make them less boring ..
