Thank you, for all that you have done, for the people of the world, for your sermons to the great of the earth, for your claim to peace, for your clemency towards those who are different, welcoming everyone into church, opening the doors to gays, opening the doors to divorced people, opening the minds of so many closed-minded Catholics. Thank you for your support for young people, for your tireless requests for a cleaner world, thank you for being interested in climate change, for having said loudly that peace is the only certainty for a better world. His interest in the neediest, in those who live in war zones, in those who have nothing made him the Pope of the people, he lived his years of papacy in the most human and simple way possible and perhaps this is what made him loved by the weakest… his messages of hope have heartened everyone, he has given us strength in one of the most difficult periods for the world, the images that have been circulating these days are a thump to the heart. Pope Francis was a merciful man, with a big heart, who brought many people back to believing in their religion, who brought young people closer to the church, who stood up to the great men of the earth making them become little men, he asked for peace, without being afraid to say what he thought, whoever comes after him will have to fill a great void in the hearts of Catholics, and try to carry on his missions of peace, listen to believers and help those most in need.

The suffering of children, women and vulnerable people cries out to heaven and begs us to act.
Pope Francis.
